“This work is part of the serie Identitá Transitorie: a combination of portraits with element inspired by the person. First, I envisioned the outcome in my head. I sketched it down. Then I look at it, and feel what it means to me. As a result, I generate a series of more detailed sketches and some written notes, till the final idea. For the very sculpture, I shaped light rigid polyurethan to the total volume. Next, I cover it with clay and detail it until it is finished. I work fine textures and add meticulous details, with metal and wood sculpture tools. I use silicon molds to cast the final sculpture in resin and fiberglass. Finally, I painted the sculptures with oil and acrylic painting in layers, to create the effect I am looking for. I use a neutral light color palette, with only one bright colors. I like to create a visual contrast that is unique to my personal concept.”
