A Juried Exhibition Curated by Dr. Samuel Peralta

33 Contemporary Gallery is proud to announce A Poetic Response, a juried exhibition curated by renowned physicist, poet, and curator Dr. Samuel Peralta. The show will feature 23 contemporary artists whose work explores the profound intersection of poetry and visual art. The exhibition opens on Thursday, July 3, 2025, with a public reception from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and runs through August 22, 2025, at the Palm Beach Art & Design Showroom, 500 N. Dixie Hwy, Lake Worth, FL.

A Poetic Response invited artists from around the world to select a poetic verse—classic or contemporary—and create an original artwork in direct conversation with that verse. The result is a dynamic collection of pieces that blur the lines between word and image, inviting viewers to contemplate how language inspires visual expression.

Artists selected by Dr. Peralta were chosen for their ability to evoke emotional depth, narrative power, and visual clarity in response to their chosen poems. All media are represented, from painting and mixed media to sculpture and digital art.

Each artwork in the exhibition will be featured in a professionally designed catalogue, including an introduction by Dr. Peralta and full-color reproductions that pair each visual work with its poetic inspiration. The exhibition will also be available for viewing online, making it accessible to a global audience.

About the Curator
Dr. Samuel Peralta is a Canadian physicist, entrepreneur, and interdisciplinary artist best known as the founder of the Lunar Codex—a visionary project sending the works of 40,000+ creatives to the Moon. As a poet and writer, his works have been recognized by the UK Poetry Society, the BBC, and the Palanca Memorial Awards. In the visual arts, he has curated exhibitions for 33 Contemporary Gallery, Zhou B Art Center, and the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art. He is also a patron of the arts, including sponsorship of the Yayoi Kusama room at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
