Turning the Page: A Faith-Based Art + Mindfulness Experience

Turning the Page: A Faith-Based Art + Mindfulness Experience

A Space Just for You

Life moves quickly. Seasons change—often before we fully process what we’ve lived through—and we can find ourselves carrying emotional layers that once served a purpose but no longer belong in the present. Scripture reminds us that “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18–19 (NIV), inviting us to pause and discern what this season is asking of us.

By this point in the year, many of us have already learned something important: what quietly followed us forward, what has felt heavier than expected, and what is ready to be integrated, released, or reimagined. This experience is not about restarting or fixing anything. It is an intentional pause—a moment to listen for wisdom, to ground ourselves in truth, and to choose what comes next with clarity and trust consciously.

Join Dr. Yanina Gomez and artist Sergio Gomez for a two-hour, intimate Art + Mindfulness experience rooted in reflection, creativity, and faith. Throughout the evening, carefully selected Scripture verses will be used to help ground the experience—offering spiritual support, perspective, and reassurance as you reflect on what you are carrying and what you are ready to place in God’s hands.

Through guided mindfulness, reflective reflection, and Scripture, you will work on a single canvas, building visual layers that represent your personal journey. The first layers will reflect patterns, emotions, habits, or experiences that are complete for this season—layers you may be ready to acknowledge, soften, or surrender. With care and intention, you will then paint over them, not erasing the past, but honoring it—making space for renewal, insight, and what is ready to emerge, trusting that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6).

As you enjoy curated bites and mimosas, you’ll be gently guided to respond through color, texture, and movement, allowing the creative process itself to become an act of reflection, release, and faith-filled integration.

Art experience is NOT necessary.

This experience is about presence, honesty, and meaningful transformation—not performance or perfection.

Together, in a quiet and supportive circle, you’ll reflect, create, and reconnect—leaving with a finished piece that holds both where you’ve been and what you are intentionally stepping into next, grounded in faith, clarity, and renewed trust.

Why This Experience Matters

This experience offers more than a creative morning; it provides a rare opportunity to intentionally close one emotional season before stepping into another. By slowing down and engaging both reflection and creativity, you create space to recognize patterns that no longer serve you, gently release what feels complete, and consciously choose what you want to carry forward.

The act of layering colors becomes a tangible practice of transformation—supporting integration rather than avoidance, and reflection rather than rushing ahead. You will leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded, with a renewed sense of agency over your inner narrative and a visual reminder of the space you’ve created for growth, clarity, and possibility in the season ahead.

Why Attend?

  • Create emotional and mental space by consciously releasing what no longer serves you in this season.

  • Reflect on what you’ve been carrying—without judgment—and reconnect with clarity and intention.

  • Express transformation through color layers, allowing art to hold what words cannot.

  • Enjoy a restorative experience that blends mindfulness, creativity, and meaningful connection.

  • Receive exclusive 15% savings on gallery artwork during the event as a thank-you for joining us.

This is not a workshop.
It’s a threshold moment.
A quiet, meaningful pause to honor what you’re releasing and intentionally welcome what’s next.

Spots are limited for this experience.
Reserve yours and give yourself the gift of release, clarity, and possibility as you step into a new season.

Turning the Page: An Art + Mindfulness Experience

A Space Just for You

Life moves quickly. Seasons change—often before we fully process what we’ve lived through—and we can find ourselves carrying emotional layers that once served a purpose but no longer belong in the present.

By this point in the year, many of us have already learned something important: what quietly followed us forward, what has felt heavier than expected, and what is ready to be integrated, released, or reimagined. This experience is not about restarting or fixing anything. It is an intentional pause—a moment to listen to what this season is revealing and to consciously choose what comes next.

Join Dr. Yanina Gomez and South Florida artist Paloma Eden for a two-hour, intimate Art + Mindfulness experience designed to help you gently release what no longer supports your growth and reconnect with clarity, intention, and inner alignment.

Through guided mindfulness, reflective journaling, and watercolor, you will work on a single canvas, building visual layers that represent your personal journey. The first layers will reflect patterns, emotions, habits, or experiences that are complete for this season—layers you may be ready to acknowledge, soften, or let transform. With care and intention, you will then paint over them, not erasing the past, but honoring it—allowing space for renewal, insight, and what is ready to emerge.

As you enjoy curated bites and mimosas, you’ll be gently guided to respond through color, texture, and movement, allowing the creative process itself to become an act of reflection, release, and integration.

No art experience is needed.

This experience is about presence, honesty, and meaningful transformation—not performance or perfection.

Together, in a quiet and supportive circle, you’ll reflect, create, and reconnect—leaving with a finished piece that holds both where you’ve been and what you are intentionally stepping into next.

The act of layering watercolor becomes a tangible practice of transformation—supporting integration rather than avoidance, and reflection rather than rushing ahead.

  • Express transformation through watercolor layers, allowing art to hold what words cannot.

In 2016, after a transformative experience following a mild concussion, Rebecca gained a renewed perspective on her creative gifts and committed more fully to her craft. Her inaugural collection, Light and Beauty Out of Darkness, established her bold, contemporary style and set the tone for her ongoing exploration of light, nature, and the heartfelt expression of florals. Today, her paintings continue to inspire reflection and appreciation for the beauty woven into everyday life. Learn more HERE.

Wonderland Tea & Canvas Experience

An Art + Mindfulness Tea Party for Mothers, Daughters & Grandmothers

A sweet morning of tea, imagination, and togetherness…

If life has felt fast lately, this is your invitation to slow down—just long enough to laugh, sip something lovely, and create a keepsake you’ll actually want to hang on the wall.

Designed for ages 5-11, Wonderland Tea & Canvas is a whimsical, story-led Art + Mindfulness experience inspired by the imaginative spirit of Alice in Wonderland. You’ll step into a guided “fantasy journey” designed to help you and your child (grandchild, or niece) connect, express, and create—together.

Join Dr. Yanina Gomez (mindset + emotional wellness expert) and Florida-based artist Paloma Eden for a two-hour Wonderland Tea & Canvas Art + Mindfulness tea party designed for mothers/dads, daughters, and grandmothers (or aunties & nieces)—a whimsical, story-led morning where you’ll slow down, sip tea, and create one collaborative painting together through guided “pause-and-paint” moments.

No art experience needed. Just bring your heart… and a hat. 🫖🎩

The “Wonderland” Twist (what makes it different…)

This isn’t a paint-and-sip class. It’s a guided experience.

You’ll be led through a narrated fantasy storyline, and three times during the story, you’ll pause to paint.

At each pause, your pair (or trio) will gently “project” what you’re noticing—images, emotions, reactions, and ideas—into one shared canvas. By the end, you’ll have a finished collaborative artwork that captures your unique experience as a family.

One canvas per group + One shared memory + One beautiful takeaway.

What’s Included

  • Step into a guided mindfulness + fantasy story journey

  • Pause and paint through intentional creative reflection moments

  • Create one collaborative canvas per group (larger canvas for Option 2)

  • Enjoy all art materials plus tea, juices, and themed bites curated for the occasion

  • Get supported by an assisting artist on-site as you paint together

  • Unlock exclusive 15% savings on gallery artwork during the event as our thank-you for joining us

What you’ll leave with (besides a full heart)

  • A completed collaborative painting (one per group)

  • Meaningful connection time across generations

  • A simple mindfulness rhythm you can reuse at home: pause, notice, express

  • More creative confidence for both kids and adults

  • A light, lovely memory that feels different than “the usual.”

We’re hosting a limited number of canvases —and once they’re gone, they’re gone. This experience is special because it stays intimate, calm, and personal.

If you’ve been wanting a sweet mom/dad-daughter or grandma-granddaughter (or grandma + mom + daughter) moment that feels truly special… this is it.

Quick Notes…

  • No art experience needed. This is supportive and beginner-friendly.

  • Tea party outfits encouraged — hats recommended.

  • Designed for ages 5–11.

  • One canvas per group (Option 2 includes a larger canvas).

  • Photo Policy: We may take a few photos for gallery marketing. Let us know at check-in if you prefer not to be photographed.

The Space Between Light and Shadow
Paintings by Sergio Gomez
December 2025 · 33 Contemporary Gallery

Please join us on Friday, December 5th, from 7–9 PM, as we celebrate the opening of our newest exhibition at 33 Contemporary Gallery.

In a world suspended between uncertainty and desire for renewal, The Space Between Light and Shadow invites viewers into a contemplative zone where hope quietly lives in the in-between. In this solo exhibition, Sergio Gomez explores light not simply as illumination, but as a spiritual presence that emerges precisely where shadow is deepest.

Featuring a series of large-scale paintings, including four Stations of the Nativity, the exhibition reflects on moments of birth, vulnerability, and divine nearness. These works echo an ancient story while speaking to a present time marked by longing, fragmentation, and a search for meaning. In the layered surfaces of paint, figures and forms appear and dissolve, suggesting that what is most essential is often revealed gradually—through patience, attention, and stillness.

Light is the main protagonist in these paintings: it breaks through veils of darkness, traces silhouettes of the human figure, and hints at realities just beyond the visible. Many of the works are activated through augmented reality, inviting viewers to use their devices to unveil hidden layers of animation, sound, and movement. This interactive experience opens a dynamic dialogue between the physical painting and its unseen dimensions, mirroring the tension between the material and the spiritual.

The Space Between Light and Shadow is an exhibition about transformation and transcendence—about the fragile yet persistent glow of hope that refuses to disappear. Throughout the month of December, these works become visual meditations, gently inviting each viewer to enter that threshold place where fear, faith, darkness, and light coexist, and where hope is quietly born again.

This exhibition runs from December 1-31, 2025.
